Former Vice President Mike Pence is backing the opponent to Kari Lake, a Trump-backed gubernatorial candidate in Arizona. Jim Vondruska/Getty Images Former Vice President Mike Pence is throwing his weight behind Arizona gubernatorial candidate Karrin Taylor Robson, placing himself directly at odds with his ex-boss, former President Donald Trump.Robson announced Pence's support for her in a series of tweets, along with a statement from Pence on the endorsement."As Arizona Democrats pursue the reckless Biden-Harris agenda, Karrin Taylor Robson is the only candidate for Governor that will keep Arizona's border secure and streets safe, empower parents and create great schools, and promote conservative values," Pence said.
